Photo inspirations
- I think that it would be very effective to have both the different shoots completely contrast to each other as this will add suspense and surprise for the audience. The first shoot; in Shere, will establish the theme and genre for the film. This is why filming in a Village is so effective as lots of thriller's are about a murder that happens in a small village. The village also means that we have lost of different places and shops to film in such as a river, cafe, pub and graveyard. For the studio shoot we want to show the intimacy between the man and his lover which will create a clear understanding about why he is so upset that he has lost her. We want the man to look quite stereotypical so we have taken some inspiration from the film Shame, where the protagonist is a male who feels trapped because of his careless relationships. (In the bottom two photos you can see the photos of the man) He is also wearing clothes that we think would be fitting for our male protagonist as we want his to be portrayed as a middle aged man, however, still wears some 'younger' type clothing. We then took some inspiration from the use of LEDs in Euphoria as I think that it would look very good to have to studio shoot lit with LEDs. This would also show the contrast between the two locations. Red and pink lighting would show the love and between the couple and yellow manmade lighting would portray comfort between them.
Location: Shere, pub, bridge, cafe, bedroom
Outside vibe: rain, bad grey weather
Studio shoot vibe: coloured gel lighting, close ups
Here are some photos which compliment my ideas for the location and lighting:
